Sublimo is a personal affirmation and subliminal-audio companion. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, where it is stored, and the choices you have. The data controller is Bread & Circuses. Questions: use the contact button at the end of this policy.
You can use the built-in programs and play sessions without an account. In that case Sublimo keeps your data only on your device and sends nothing to us.
An account is optional and exists so your own content survives a lost or replaced phone and syncs between your devices. If you create one, we store:
We do not use your account content to target advertising or to profile you. The app does use analytics to understand, in aggregate, how it is used, described under "Analytics" below, and free users see ads, described under "Advertising" below.
Account data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage), which acts as our data processor. The data is hosted in the European Union (Stockholm, Sweden). Transmission is encrypted in transit.
Solely to provide the app: to sign you in, to back up and sync your programs, stats and photos, and, if you set a recovery email, to send you a password-reset link. We never sell your data, and we do not share your account content with third parties for their own purposes.
Sublimo's free tier is supported by rewarded video ads from Google AdMob. You are shown an ad only when you choose to watch one, for example to save an extra custom program or start a second session in a day. Premium removes all ads.
To deliver these ads, Google may process device and advertising identifiers for ad selection, frequency capping and measurement. Ads are non-personalized: Sublimo does not use the device advertising identifier to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and shows no App Tracking Transparency prompt. In the EEA and the UK, Google's consent form is shown before any ad is served, and you can decline. Google acts as an independent controller of the data it processes for advertising; see the Google Privacy Policy for details.
Sublimo uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used, which features are opened, how sessions start, and how the app performs, so it can be improved. This is on by default. It covers automatically collected usage and interaction events, a Firebase-generated app-instance identifier, and coarse device and app information (such as device model, operating-system version, app version, and an approximate, city-level location derived from your IP address). Analytics is not personalized: no advertising identifier (IDFA) is collected for it, it is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it never feeds ad targeting. Because Sublimo's ads are linked to Analytics, aggregate ad-revenue and engagement figures are also reported here. Google processes this data as our data processor; see the Google Privacy Policy. Your rights, including the right to object, are described under "Your rights (GDPR)" below.
If you add one, it is used only to send you a password-reset link. A reset link may pass briefly through our mail provider's and Google Cloud's operational logs as part of delivery; links are single-use and expire quickly.
Because your data is held in the EU, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and receive a portable copy of your personal data, and to object to processing. Use the in-app tools above or contact us and we will respond. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Sublimo is rated for adults (18+) and is not directed to children.
We use Firebase's access rules and encryption in transit to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard it.
